Two Updates in One Day?!

Mood: Professional

Site Version: 3.22
Yes, coming in just under the wire, it's the second update of the day! And it's nothing I had even considered when I made the last update (which means another one could show up pretty quickly). Rather, feedback problems with the game lists's AJAX functionality led me to make the site a bit more user-friendly. To that end, almost all AJAX functions that are not reflected on the screen (like rating content), as well as the periodic site sidebar/chat refresh, now pop up a small message on the screen. The messages show up in the bottom right corner of your screen, and are designed to be as non-intrusive as possible. In the same vein, all errors (other than form verification errors) that used to be handled with javascript popups now create these messages, in alarming red, instead. I hope you enjoy.

Changes and Fixes
• Added a messaging mechanism by which the site will update users of most AJAX updates. Some interfaces, such as drop-down menus, will change even if the system fails to save changes for any reason, so these messages serve as a way to be sure that your changes have been acknowledged.
• Converted all javascript popup errors to use the previously mentioned messaging mechanism. Error messages are red and last much longer on the screen, to make them more noticeable.
• Fixed a bug where the "active users" bar would not initially load correctly on any site without a chat feature.
• Made various improvements to the user profile "game collection" section.
