Launch of the Game Tools Module

Mood: Frantic
Tags: Development
Site Version: 3.3
Truth be told, this update was probably going to hit tomorrow, but I unwittingly made some database changes, so here it is tonight. Rest assured there will be more bug fixes and highly-requested changes coming in the days ahead. This update mostly consists of a few bug fixes and the relaunch of the "Guides" module (which was unceremoniously removed a few months ago) as the "Game Tools" module, complete with two new tools. A few new tag additions inspired by similar changes on other 4LN Engine-based sites round out the update.

Version 3.3 Update Notes
Version 3.3 Update Notes
Pre-Existing Changes
• Added "Board Games" as a new category for reviews.

Changes and Fixes
• Fixed a bug where the saved searches UI was not visible when no search results were listed.
• Fixed a bug where +'s in search strings would be replaced with spaces when changing pages on the result list.
• Fixed a bug in the game list where negative (not) searches would not work as expected.
• Fixed a bug in the game list where user information-related filters would ignore games you had not yet viewed.
• Fixed a bug where the site update message for game goal changes was not working as expected.
• Changed the verbiage "Normal Goals" on the game list to "Standard Goals."
• Added support for [image] tag-like input for the tag: (with no closing tag) will now be treated in the same way as .
• Both the [image] and tags have been given an optional "align" parameter, allowing you to align these elements left, right, or center.
• Added the "align" parameter to the tag, as well as an tag that works as a tag with a default parameter of "align." Valid alignments are left, right, center, and justify. This option will not function on single-line inputs such as the chat.
• Fixed a bug where new level rewards could not be activated or rejected by administrators.

The Game Tools Module
• Renamed the "Guides" module "Game Tools" and re-added it to the sidebar for sites that feature it.
• Added a "skill cap table" tool for Final Fantasy XI. This tool allows you to create and view any number of characters, inputting your job and skill levels for analysis. You may choose whether to share any characters you create with other users, making their statistics publicly visible. This tool has various functions such as letting you know what the skill caps are on every skill for each of your jobs, how far you are from those skill caps, what job level each skill is at the cap for, and more. Even when not viewing a character, you may see skill ranks by job and skill, as well as skill caps for all jobs at level 37 and 75.
• Added c0deblooded's hand-to-hand weapon damage calculator for FFXI. This form takes as input your monk level and hand-to-hand skill, as well as an optional hand-to-hand weapon's delay and damage values. It will give you your damage, delay, and DPS, both armed and unarmed, as well as a comparison between the two.
