Wherein Communication is Stifled

Mood: Sick
Tags: Development
Site Version: 3.32
By popular demand, and in light of the er, heated discussions of late, I have finally gotten off my lazy butt and implemented the "ignore user" feature. For now the UI is kind of crappy (you'll find the link to toggle ignore on a user's profile page), and it only affects the chat, but one day the idea may be expanded a bit further. For now, may you have a little less stress in your chat.

Version 3.32 Update Notes
Version 3.32 Update Notes
General Changes
• Added a simple "user preferences" table that can handle arbitrary preferences very quickly, without the need for further database development. This will allow for quick development of a number of "on the fly" user preferences.
• Implemented a number of utility functions to handle the user preferences table in a variety of ways.
• Added the ability to ignore a user's chat contributions. When ignoring a user, you simply will not see any chat they post. You can choose whether to ignore a user on their profile page. Note that this choice is on a per-site basis, so a user must be ignored separately on other Four Light sites. Ignoring a user does not block messages, forum posts, or any other type of content except chat.

Game Tools Changes
• Added an alternate view for spell lists, showing which monsters use a spell instead of which classes can learn it and where, for the spell tables on the status ailment and element pages.
• Added a "Resistance" column to all monster tables, which lists monster resistances in a slightly condensed format.
• Added a walkthrough page to the top links and main menu.
• Added an average experience and gil per encounter note to all area-specific encounter tables.
• Updated the notes page, and added notes to a number of database items.
