Project Manager and More
Tags: Development
Site Version: 3.5
The "big" feature for this update is one that the vast majority of current users will never see nor care about: the addition of a project manager module to the network. For that reason I won't say much about it except that it exists.
More interesting to the typical user is an array of minor updates and fixes. Many are subtle, such as the ability to have multiple open login cookies (so switching browsers or computers will no longer require a new login every time), or the addition of a page update whenever you re-focus on the page after being away. The most significant changes were made to the chat room. Users now have the option to disable the chat room entirely, which is useful if you just want the pages to load faster. I suggest setting yourself to anonymous if you do this, so as not to mislead other chat participants. The default chat scroll direction has been reversed, though user options weren't changed, so you're most likely to notice this if you use the chat while not logged in. Finally, users who are actively using the site now have their names appear in bold in the Active Users list, so you have a better idea if someone is actually around or just has the site open in the background.
